Gift box

Hello again,
Twice in one week?, blog posts are never normally this frequent for me!, must have too much time on my hands and it feels good!!!
The gift box I have done is for my mum's birthday, she will be 75 next month and wanted to give her a few extra little bits. I thought, seeing as she likes to craft too, this box would hold some of her brads, buttons and things like that. Mum's always very appreciative of hand made items as she knows how much time and effort goes into each project.

Sorry for all the pictures, it's not the same as a card, one piccie doesn't cover it all!
I used the following to put it together:
SU papers
SU blossom, scallop, leaf/stem punch
SU sentiment, Bliss butterfly stamp
SU ink
Brown paper flower - from my lovely friend Fleur (thank you xx)
Star dust stickles
SB Nestabilities Labels two
Gems, brads, ribbon from stash

Challenges I would like to enter:
Allsorts - make a gift box
A Spoonful of Sugar - Ribbon, Pearls/Rhinestones and Flowers
Flutter by Wednesdays - open challenge inc. butterfly, angel or fairy
One Stop Craft Challenge - Diamonds

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look, I love reading any comments you leave.

Mothers' Day card

Happy Monday,
Hope everyone had a good weekend, I for one am really enjoying the sunshine at the moment, long may it continue!
The card I'm showing tonight is for a couple of challenges and I made it with my mum in mind for Mothers' day. Mum loves Magnolia stamps as much as me and I just know she will love this one. Really enjoyed making a twisted easel card and I have to say it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be.
The challenges are: Stamp Man - Floral Mothers' Day
Sir Stamp-a-lot - Spring colours; green, yellow and/or pink
Magnolia-licious Highlights - Frame projects recipe inc. frame, magnolia image, bling/pearls, trim/ribbon, flowers.

I used: Magnolia Tilda with butterfly dress - I paper pieced Tilda's dress with two different papers
SU flower swirl stamp from Sweet Summer set
Tim Holtz distress inks and SU inks
Nestabilities - Lacy Squares
Basic Grey Curio papers
Flowers - given to me by Fleur (big thanks xxx)
ribbon and pearls from stash

A simple card, eeek!

Hello,
I felt out of my comfort zone a little for this card but felt I should give it a go, and I am pleasantly surprised with how quickly I got it done. The challenge I did it for was: One Stop Craft Challenge - 'Clean and Simple'. However, I don't know if it meets the criteria as once I got started I found it hard to stop and nearly made it 'clean and complicated'! The embossed trees are supposed to represent the trees changing from winter to spring (the flower soft is supposed to be blossom), and more 'blossom' travelling off the card as stamped flowers. That's what I saw in my head as I was making it but don't know if that's what anyone else sees looking at the finished thing!

Stuff I used: SU ink, and Stamps from Bliss, Lovely as a tree and Confetti sets
blossom nestability
silver embossing powder
gems and ribbon from stash
the button was cut off a boot that Jasmine had grown out of!

Thanks for looking, your comments are lovely as ever!

Fruity and sweet!

Hello friends hope everyone is ok on this blustery day, I'm doing something very unusal by posting during the day, normally I only get time to do this sort of thing at night when the kids are tucked up! Don't quite know how I've managed it, I must have forgotten to do something else! Here's the card I have just finished, hope you like it. It took me ages to decide what colours and papers to use, I'm pleased with how it turned out in the end though. Tilda and apple images were kindly stamped out for me by my friend Lou, I've had them a while just waiting for the right moment! Thanks Lou xx

Stacked up the apples, decoupage style, the SU flowers punch was used to create apple blossom (You'll have to decide for yourself wether it actually looks like apple blossom or not!) and
shrunk the Magnolia fruit label stamp for bottom of image. Used the middle of the fruit label for the sentiment.

Used stickles on flowers, leaves and image here and there.

The challenges I would like to enter are:Truly Scrumptious - Sketch (would like to be considered for the DT call added to this challenge)
Totally Tilda - Fruity Tilda
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Spring Flowers
A Spoonful of Sugar - Vintage/Shabby
Just Magnolia - anything goes/glitter

I used: Magnolia Tilda (sorry don't know which one as borrowed from Lou) and apples
Magnolia Fruit label
SU sentiment, flowers and leaves punches
SU inks and Tim Holtz distress inks
BG papers - Curio

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look, you're comments keep me coming back for more!!
