#66 Spots and Stripes for Totally Tilda

Morning everyone,
Well, I guess you all loved the Valentine's theme as much as I did judging by the extremely high level of work entered into Totally Tilda's last challenge! Check to see if you were one of our handpicked Top3 or the winner this time. Now I'd better tell you about our brand new
Totally Tilda
challenge which is
Spots and Stripes
and as you know by now Tilda's got to be the main image on your card/project.

This week I decorated a book box and kept it fairly neutral so it could be given as a gift for any occasion.
The Tilda's were coloured using distress inks, I added stardust stickles to the hem of her dress and the flower centre but you can't see that very well and I used my pearl maker that the lovely Susie gave me (thanks sweetie!) although I think I need a bit of practice with it so don't look too closely lol!

On the inside I made the left hand side recess into the space for a written message. I made a lid for the right hand side with an acetate window behind 'Tilda loves Flowers'

Under the lid I partitioned the recess to put embellies in.

Supplies:
Book Box
Magnolia DooHickey stitched scalloped lace border and sweet lovely lace border
SU zigzag stitch stamp
TH clock hand die
Spellbinder nestie labels nine and foliage
everything else is from my stash

We are lucky to be sponsored by Pretty Little Ribbon Shop for this challenge
The pretty little ribbon

Challenges I would love to enter:
Bunny Zoes - Flowers and pearls
Marvelous Magnolias - Floral Bonanza

Thanks for popping by and visiting my blog today, can't wait to see what gorgeous creations are made for this challenge! If you have time take a look at my teamies beautiful work over at Totally Tilda for further inspiration.
Have a great week and I will be back next week for my Totally Tilda midway post with more spots and stripes!
Hugs,

Tilda's getting romantic

Morning blogland!
Today sees the start of another brand new challenge over at
and as love is in the air this week we would like to see your
Valentine Tilda
creations over the next two weeks. As you know by now, Tilda has to be the main star of your cards and projects, and this fortnight she has to be all loved up!

This time I made a variation on the tealight/easel card, it is for hubby for Valentines (don't know if he'll appreciate it or not but kept the colours less girly and although it was a struggle I managed to leave off the flowers!)

The base for the easel is made using Go Kreate's Frilly #8 die and I covered it with BoBunny Love letters paper.
Up, Up and away Tilda was coloured with TH DI's and I added some SU linen thread for the balloon string.
The Post card text is part of a Whimsy stamp.

I measured and made my own box for the heart-shaped candle (which you can't really see in these pictures :( and I created a tucked tab at the end nearest the candle (for easy removal) and a drawer at the other end to hold the cloud tag book I made for writing something slushy and sentimental on lol!

Doohickeys used: stitched scalloped lace, cloud.
I used spellbinder nestie labels 23 for the candle aperture and frame behind Tilda.
The I love You sentiment stamp is from a beautiful stamp set I was given by the lovely Susie, and the charm too - Thanks hun x

Cheesecloth, ribbon and button from stash.
I gave the sewing machine a week off and just drew on some faux stitching here and there.

We are lucky to be sponsored by the lovely Nikki at Bunny Zoe Crafts
